The scifi confessional or all the series I SHOULD be watching

I have seen maybe 4 complete episodes of Battlestar Gallactica; and maybe 4 complete episodes of Babylon 5.  They are both epic, great series, and for whatever reason, I end up not watching them. I think it's because they start with a B?  But with the scheduling of BG final season against Dollhouse, maybe this will be a blessing because I'm not conflicted? I smell a DVD marathon in my future. I'm weird that way. Heroes lost me after season 1....I watched Tru Calling til its cancellation..other than that my scifi watching has been very, very sporatic! OH, and I watch Sarah Conner Chronicles..though it seems to be getting formulaic...curses, real life. Curses to you for interrupting my scifi viewing :)

GeekKon Report Part 1: Felicia Day interview - on location for "The Guild: Season 2"

Today I got to meet the very talented and very busy Felicia Day, star of The Guild and Penny in Dr Horrible's Singalong Blog at GeekKon : http://www.geekkon.net !

First the good news: Early in the morning on Sunday, September 28th I got to chat with Felicia Day over Skype for a video introduction to the Con's viewing of "The Guild: Season 1"!  Yay!

The bad news: the audio and video capture I attempted failed and I don't have any media to share! Boooo!

Here's what went down:

I thanked Felicia for making the appearance and we spoke briefly about her gaming experience and how it inspired the Guild.  She talked about how she'd rather have been gaming last night than working. She was standing on set with a script in one hand.  She was still memorizing her lines, what a busy schedule she's had!  She was obviously tired, but still in good spirits.  Thanks for doing all the hard work to bring us such a great show, Felicia!

Here's some snippets from the conversation:

* The Paypal button will not be going up for Season 2 donations.
* The Guild is going to be filmed MORE OFTEN so that we get new installments faster this time around!
* There have been offers as far as the Guild getting picked up by a production house or partner but Felicia is still waiting for the right match.
* She wouldn't give away any spoilers and was playing up being offended that I even asked, but let  it slip that we will be seeing some new characters in Season 2!
* We got a glance at the new set on which she was filming, and there were at least 3 or 4 professional crew members milling around setting things up.
* Sandeep showed up, and laughed and said "Oh yeah, I talked to this guy!" He and I had talked at watchtheguild.ning.com and I had asked him for advice when interviewing  Felicia, and he had said not to flirt with her.  She had no idea! I let him know I had taken the advice -- and my wife was in the audience and his girlfriend was on set --  creating an awkward and funny moment! Doh!   Felicia looked worried and feared he was becoming Zaboo!  I said maybe he was just method acting (haha?) -- but now I think he is just being a troublemaker!

It was fun to meet her and she was very gracious and kind giving we were both a bit out of it so early in the morning, and this was my first Con!

The viewing went well and audience reaction was positive.

Oh and note to Edgar Garcia: I didn't ask her a question about you as you requested but I did tell her about Feligar -- the mutant offspring of you and her that had come up in chat.

Poor Felicia, she's survived my sense of humor and quirkiness to live another day to work hard creating the Guild Season 2! It was truly a pleasure to interview her and she was so great to join us!
